AWESOME Past Neighborhood Events
- Bob Stevens Memorial Picnic – It was great to see everyone on that rainy evening in August to remember our first AHCA President, Bob Stevens! Thanks for coming out to celebrate our wonderful community and share a great meal with neighbors.
- Fall Festival – This was such a blast! We had a wonderful turnout on a beautiful fall October afternoon. The food was incredible, everyone brought such wonderful dishes. Special thanks to Larry Jones and Hank Salmans who made smoked meats for our enjoyment. We had a record turnout with new neighbors as well! The kids had a great time decorating pumpkins and jumping on the bounce house. Hopefully we can get some pictures of events so that we can update our website soon. If you took any, please reach out to anyone on the Board.
Upcoming Events
Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza, and the Holiday Season is in the air! We will have Santa, Luminaries, and an annual Food Drive. Please keep your eye out for more details.
Santa and the Elves visit – December 18th around 10 am traveling through the neighborhood on his sleigh, one street at a time. Please see the newsletter for more information about present drop-off and being a helper Elf that day!
Luminaries – bags will be delivered during Santa’s visit and placed outside your home on December 24 at dusk. You can purchase your own candles at Catholic stores (longer lasting), Amazon, or any place candles/tealights are sold. This is a highlight of our neighborhood when more families and homes participate.
New Business
- Reminders: Please pick up after your pets! It makes our neighborhood look its best when it is tidy. We still have a fox family around, we’ve had multiple sightings both early morning and at dusk. They do not seem interested in people but have certainly helped the bunny population.
- Please join us for elections for the 2022 AHCA Board. If you would like to serve on the board, please contact us! Our community really needs people to step up to continue the great work of this long-standing civic association.
