The Highlander

And Finally,

A New Year

With much joy we say goodbye to 2020! To say that it was challenge on many levels would be an understatement. I would like to thank all of the board members and architectural control committee for doing the best they could under all of the craziness. We hope and pray that 2021 will smooth out and next year we will be thankful for a much better year.

During the past year, there certainly were some sad times as we lost some folks that were part of our neighborhood family. We continue to hope for the healing of those who are sick. We can look at some happy times as we were visited by food trucks, a good parade on July 4th, and Santa visiting. Our neighborhood furnished food and toys during the Holidays for 30 grateful families who were in need.

As we begin 2021, we will be reforming our AHCA board and electing officers as well as establishing the Architectural committee members at the Tuesday January 19th Board Meeting. It will be held virtually and a virtual link will be sent out in a few days. Please attend the meeting if you are interested in joining the board for 2021, the positions are listed below. This is a great neighborhood and counts on all of us to help keep it that way!

Please be aware that there has been an increase in vehicle break-ins and stolen cars as well as other property crimes in neighborhoods near us. The saying “see something say something” is very true. Please take notice of what’s going on in the neighborhood and call Police if things do not look right. It is so true that it is better to be safe than sorry. Remember that cell phone pictures can be helpful in identifying activity. Help protect the families and property in our neighborhood.

Thank you all.
