Santa’s Coming To Arapahoe Highlands
Hi Neighbors,
The holiday season is upon us with the recent celebration of Halloween. To say that there have been challenges this past year and a half would be an understatement. We owe a big thank you to Christy, Megan, Susie, and Erin for giant efforts to host neighborhood events this past year, encouraging our neighborhood.
As we approach 2022, we are saying Thank You and goodbye to our neighborhood association treasurer as he moves to California, where Alex and Marta will celebrate the birth of their first child. Thank you and we all wish you well. Sandy Schell has stepped in to fill the position for now. Thanks, Sandy.
Christmas 2021
Before long the bearded wonder, known as Santa Claus, will be here. Santa and the Elves will be appearing in our neighborhood on DECEMBER 18th. Around 10 am they will be traveling through the neighborhood. Santa is rounding up elves so if you would help contact Santa’s helper, Hank Salmans, at 720-810-1412.
Parents and grandparents: If you would like to have Santa deliver presents for your young ones, you may drop them off at Santa’s helper’s house, 1697 East Jamison Place, prior to the 18th. As Santa makes his rounds on the 18th, his elves will be accepting nonperishable food donations that will be distributed to families identified by area churches. Last year you all helped 20 families. A suggested food list will be published in the next couple of weeks.
Association board and officers
We are seeking folks from the neighborhood to become active members of the Association. Please consider getting involved with helping in YOUR neighborhood. We will be electing new board members in January – February. We need your help. Several current members are stepping down due to work commitments and traveling.
Neighborhood Watch
This is the time of the year when increased packages are being delivered. This is also the time when there is an increase in nefarious characters lurking about. Please keep your eyes open and if you see something, say something. Remember your phone camera can help police with identifying folks up to no good.
