1. Call to order:

Sandy Schell called the meeting to order at 7:10pm

    2. Arapahoe Highlands Civic Association Business

    • President’s Report
      • No presidents at meeting;  no report
    • Secretary: Andi Graves
      • Newsletter will come out after Fall Festival
        • Save the Date for holiday party included here
    • Treasurer: Sandy Schell
      • Balance: $4,266
      • Pending Costs: Fall festival, Holiday Party (TBD)
      • Note:  2022 spending has exceeded what AHCA brings in annually
        • Partially due to the grants received by Centennial
        • Costs of everything have also increased, playing a part in increased spending
      • Will need to be cautious as we head into 2023 and nail down where we want to spend money
        • Consider 50/50 raffle at Holiday Party to increase the budget for 2023 Holiday Party
    • Communication
      • If any members need help with the website, please contact someone on the board to help assist.
    • Architectural Control Committee:
      • Reminder to submit work- past and future
    • Social
      • Fall Festival
        • Bounce House rental: $350
        • Mini pumpkins: $2-3 or less, for 20-25.
        • Calling an audible: King Soopers catering (sandwiches)
        • CostCo: 80 bags of chips – 2 boxes single bag chips
        • Water bottles
        • Fall dessert contest
          • $5 Starbucks card for winner
    • Hospitality:
      • No update

    3. Upcoming Event Planning:

    • Holiday Party (12/17)
      • Tammy Nonko’s house
      • Andi to confirm OK if association can’t provide main dish
      • Small plates for people to bring
      • We will provide non-alcholic drinks
      • No kids
      • Membership forms in December — hand out at holiday party
      • Potential: 50/50 Raffle to raise funds for 2023 Holiday Party

    • Use of gas-powered mini bikes in neighborhood; safety issue

    • Next Meeting: 11/15 – No Location. Susie’s house? Sandy’s house?
    • Lynne left out of the directory — Need to figure out how to get her info in
    • Membership drive beginning in January; Elections in January
    • Goal for finalization of directory in Q1 or April 2023
    • Need to discuss cost of renewal to consider the new fiscal calendar. Offer option to pay less (less 3mo)
    • Should we raise annual dues? Has been $50 since inception- all costs are rising, which is creating a challenge to put on more catered family events.
      • Will look into By-Laws.
